Looking for somewhere to stay in Lulworth? Honeysuckle Cottage is a beautifully restored 300-year-old Grade II listed thatched cottage in the village of West Lulworth, just a short walk from Lulworth Cove.
The cottage was restored by us over two years, transforming a much-loved but neglected cottage into a comfortable and characterful retreat created especially for two.
With countryside views, private parking and Lulworth Cove around a 10-minute walk away, it makes a great base for exploring the Jurassic Coast.
A cottage for two
Honeysuckle Cottage has one bedroom with a king-size bed and a Hypnos mattress, a comfortable sitting room with Joules sofas, and a well-equipped kitchen with Smeg appliances.
Underfloor heating runs beneath the natural stone floors, while the electric log burner adds a cosy touch after a day exploring the coast.
The bathroom has a walk-in rainfall shower, heated anti-steam mirror and a bespoke vanity, with soft oversized bath sheets and Land&Water coastal toiletries provided.
Outside, there’s a private garden and patio with views across the surrounding countryside, as well as private off-road parking.
A great base for the Jurassic Coast
West Lulworth is ideally placed for exploring some of Dorset’s best-known coastal scenery.
Lulworth Cove is approximately a 10-minute walk from the cottage, while the walk from Lulworth Cove to Durdle Door takes you along one of the most spectacular sections of the Jurassic Coast.
There are walks from the village, coastal paths to explore, beaches to discover and plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.
The cottage is also well placed for exploring further afield, including Lulworth Castle, the Isle of Purbeck, Weymouth and the wider Jurassic Coast.

Parking can be one of the trickier parts of visiting Lulworth, particularly during the busy summer months.
Honeysuckle Cottage has private off-road parking, so you have somewhere to leave the car during your stay and can explore the village and coast on foot.
