A little escape when a gap appears
Sometimes a booking leaves us with a small gap in the calendar.
Rather than leave those nights empty, we occasionally make them available as a short-notice cottage break — perfect if you fancy a spontaneous few days on the Jurassic Coast.
Honeysuckle Cottage is in the heart of West Lulworth, just a short walk from Lulworth Cove and close to Durdle Door, making it an ideal base for a last-minute escape.
These stays are limited and depend entirely on the gaps we have available.
Short-notice stays at Honeysuckle
From £225 per night
Our normal minimum stay is three nights, but when we have a genuine one- or two-night gap between bookings, we may be able to offer it as a short-notice stay.
These aren’t dates we set aside in advance — they simply become available when our calendar creates a gap.
So if you’re looking for a last-minute break, it’s always worth checking.

Two-night short-notice stays do not include the Monkey World ticket offer.
Stays of three nights or more booked directly include two Monkey World tickets as our gift.

Why book a short-notice break?
Sometimes the best trips aren’t planned months ahead.
Perhaps you’ve suddenly found yourself with a free weekend.
Perhaps the weather looks good and you fancy being by the coast.
Or perhaps you simply need to get away for a couple of days.
A short-notice stay at Honeysuckle gives you the chance to make the most of a gap in our calendar and spend a little time in one of the most beautiful parts of Dorset.
Walk down to Lulworth Cove, explore the Jurassic Coast, have lunch somewhere local or simply close the door behind you and enjoy the cottage.
No complicated plans required.
A genuine gap in our calendar
Short-notice availability is different from our normal cottage breaks.
We only offer these stays when there is a genuine one- or two-night gap between existing bookings. This means availability can appear at short notice and may disappear quickly.
We don’t reduce the standard price of our three-night stays. Instead, these shorter stays have their own rate because they fill otherwise unusable gaps in the calendar.

Choose your preferred dates using our availability calendar and send us an enquiry. We’ll check the dates and come back to you to confirm availability and the price.
